We have a need for a program that can manage applications to our summer
program, the Director of the programs would like it to manage the
application, including class selection, boarding options. It should handle
emails and keep historical copy and allow for letter mail merge. Finally it
will allow them to track the status of their application.

We have 5 separate programs that have 5 different costs, class options,
boarding options, etc. This sounds like a CRM system to me. We have thought
about trying to use Admin-M and now ACEs but they have concluded it will not
work.

I am analyzing the build vs. buy equation and looking for the "buy" portion.
Are any of you aware of any of the following?

- Web Based service that could host this. My thought were some fashion of
salesforce.com.

- Commercial or Open source package that is customizable.

As always, any help would be appreciated.
