Market for a Write-On Application???

Submitted by kmunster on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 4:00pm.

Hi Everyone -

I was approached
by the editor of one of the journals who is looking for an electronic submission
process.  In a nutshell, the application would assign an anonymous number,
allow the student to upload the same file to multiple journals via a web
application that would time/date stamp, add the anonymous number, identify
(in the header, document name, banner page) to which journal the document is
being submitted, specify word count, allow for batch printing, and some other
odds and ends.  It would be nice, also, to have a template that locked down
margins, font, and line spacing.

I contacted Bryant
Weaver at Examsoft to see whether its developers could do this for us.
Examsoft is curious whether there's a market for this sort of thing.  So
... I'm asking all of you.  How many of you would find this application
useful for your journals?  Would you be willing to pay for
it?

Any other ideas
are welcome, too.

Thanks.
