Laser pointer for poor and/or color-blind vision

Submitted by Damien Leri on Thu, 02/12/2009 - 1:13pm.

Hi,

One of our faculty cannot see a red laser pointer, both because of
color-blindedness and because it is so small. Has anyone found a good
pointer that addresses these?

He has not tried green pointers, so I am considering getting one of
those. But ideally we would have one with a larger circle (or that we
can bring out of focus to make the circle larger).

Thanks,

Damien

Way back in the old days when I worked in AV, there were pointers that
weren't lasers, but instead were light pointers that projected an arrow
image... Maybe there's something like that out there, particularly now
that there are high-powered LEDs...
