Laser pointer for poor and/or color-blind vision

Submitted by Damien Leri on Thu, 02/12/2009 - 1:13pm.

Hi,

One of our faculty cannot see a red laser pointer, both because of
color-blindedness and because it is so small. Has anyone found a good
pointer that addresses these?

He has not tried green pointers, so I am considering getting one of
those. But ideally we would have one with a larger circle (or that we
can bring out of focus to make the circle larger).

Thanks,

Damien

Be careful with the green laser pointers. They must be low powered (e.g.
mW rating). There are a few green laser pointers on the internet that
are not horribly expensive and can easily bust a balloon or trash bag
with heat. Wonder what that does to a project screen?
