Video conference bridge

Hello 'noids.

I've been unable to connect with Texas Tech, either the law school or
main campus, for the first three weeks of a joint class (we have been
holding the class via Mediasite and a conference phone). When we call
them, we get either "no user responding" or it connects at zero kb with
no video. When they call us, we get a connected message but it just
continues to ring at their end. We were able to connect once in December
(thus we thought all was working fine) and once last week but at a very
low speed. Since then, we haven't been able to connect.

We have upgraded our Tandberg software to the latest version and their
site is updated as well. Today we ran a traceroute between sites. We can
get as far as Texas Tech before the signal is dropped. Texas Tech
doesn't get out of the Dallas area. Both of us can connect to other
sites including test sites.

All our troubleshooting is done by a vendor; I'm just a user/slight
techie on the system so I'm not sure where to go from here. The Texas
Tech people are very knowledgeable about their system but we are all
stymied by this problem.

We were wondering if any site might have a bridge that we could use to
go between the two of us? Texas Tech and we would both be open at 9:30am
Pacific time on Friday. Conversely, does anyone have any ideas other
than using a bridge?

Many thanks.

Hi Carla,
I had some problems not too long ago getting a Polycom unit to talk to a LifeSize system. We disabled that and everything worked ok. Talking to other Polycom units wasn't a problem. However, it didn't work so well with the LifeSize equipment. In the end we found it was a setting on our Polycom used for legacy compatibility.

Hope this helps.
